Fisher & Paykel Competition Microsite
Frontend approached us to help them create a microsite for a competition that Fisher & Paykel wanted to run for their staff. The idea was that staff would enter the competition using the unique serial number on each fridge they sold. Frontend created the HTML5 animation, while we created an admin system that Fisher & Paykel could use to control the competition.
We used a slot system, where a number of prizes were randomly spread out amongst the estimated number of people that were entered, and as people entered they would fill up a slot, ocassionally winning a prize. The admin allowed Fisher & Paykel to edit the number of slots, keeping the prizes random, depending on how many people were actually entering the competition. This meant that they were able to allocate the correct number of prizes - no more and no less.
