Pengelly's found that the previous despatch and logistics systems that they had purchased were not performing as well as they wanted or achieving what was needed. So they engaged beweb to create customised web-based applications for despatch and logistics that were integrated into Pengelly's Glasshouse.

Glasshouse is a web-based system based on ASP and SQL Server. It has been developed and continuously enhanced by beweb over the past 4 years.

It now enables staff, clients and partners from around New Zealand and the world to view or update details of imports, exports, domestic cartage and warehouse storage. The information is right up to date, with drivers using mobile phones to access their run-sheet and confirm deliveries.

The whole system has been driven internally by Pengelly's. It supports and improves their existing business processes - rather than overhauling the way a successful business operates.
