Client: Port Group
Role: Developer
Creative ideas company, Port Group, partnered with us to develop a full recruitment portal for bus companies Go Bus and Johnstons.

The portal is used to manage the entire recruitment process - from advertising jobs, through to receiving applications, shortlisting candidates, communicating with candidates, creating job offers, writing contracts, sending contracts, completing police checks and finalising employment details.

Once a person is employed, the portal is also used to obtain information for the HR section including IRD numbers and bank account details.

The portal requires different 'permissions' for different users, so security is an important aspect of the website build. For example, a manager would be able to manage vacancies in their department only and undertake tasks such as creating and managing job opportunities and managing applications. HR staff have a separate role enabling them to see all positions and applicants. HR staff also have the ability to filter by manager.

Port Group designed the portal, and beweb built and undertook testing of the site.

The guys at Beweb interpreted the brief with amazing accuracy, coming up with solutions which I didn’t know I needed but they knew I wouldn’t be able to live without. That summed up the whole experience; they were one-step ahead of my needs throughout the whole project.
